The beautiful wooden statue, ” Madonna and Child ” was crafted by local chainsaw craftsman, Andy Maclachlan. It has been fashioned out of a Western Red Cedar, which grew and fell near Glenkin .

The statue reflects tenderness. It is original and creative. It shows a young mother gently and compassionately cradling her child. 

The statue and candle stand were blessed by Fr. Roddy McAuley on The Solemnity of the Assumption 2020.
